Denver has alot

We are having a great time all around this city. There is so much to do. Someone from Dillon's work told him that we will never even make a dent in the list of things to do. I believe them now that we have started compiling the list. Here are the few things that we have done so far.
  • the first pictures are of us going for a bike ride with the Marcum Family. They found this trail in Arvada and sold us on how awesome it was. So we packed the little ones into the bike trailer and took off. They both fell asleep about half way through. This trail is the Ralston trail and it is 9 miles one way. The best thing about it is that it is paved and pretty flat. We rode up to the Apex Recreation Center. In Apex there is a pretty sweet toddler friendly swimming pool. I was a little nervous for Elijah b/c the last time we went swimming he had a bad reaction to the chlorine. We all had a great time. The parents all did the kid things(water slide, and rope pully thing) and wore ourselves out. The bike ride back Elijah pulled Hailey's hair and cried most of the way back. He was so worn out. But it was still a great day!
  • We loved the bike trailer and had been wanting one for so long. We finally scored on Labor Day weekend. We found the yellow instep on Craigs list for $65. It is in perfect shape and Elijah loves it. We also bought a bike rack for our car that same day. This day was eventful...up to Boulder for the trailer down to Highlands Ranch for the rack and then back home. A little bit later we left again and headed out to check out the Taste of Colorado. We rode down to Civic Park. The three of us walked around for about an hour but we tasted some alligator/crocodile(I cant remember which one) and just like everyone says...it tastes like chicken.
  • Me and Elijah hit up the Nature and Science Museum on free day. A little hectic but overall pretty cool. Lots of cool displays of all the animals.
  • We have been basically riding our bikes every free minute. The picture of the wading bird was taken by the Platte River. There is a pretty sweet trail that follows the creek up Speer Blvd all the way to the river. Dillon got a flat tire and we had to walk the bikes to REI which luckily was just a little bit away.
  • We hit up the Central library and finally got our cards. This library has 7 floors but I think the first three are for public use. The rest I'm not sure. I am excited for our library cards. I really think we will be using them alot.
  • Other than these we have been for lots of drives. We are trying to figure out where we would like to live when we can buy. Also we really like to explore the area and figure out the city setup.
There are lots more things we want to do. But now the weather has turned cooler and it will be challenging to find things we can do without freezing the little man. But we will find them.
