Moving back

Goodbye Rexburg for good this time. We are off on our newest adventure but going back to familiar territory. Dillon and I are both way excited to be heading to more permanent surroundings but also a little sad about closing this chapter of our lives. We have really enjoyed our time in Rexburg and I wouldn't be suprised if we end up back in this area.

One thing after another went wrong with this move. First my dad's truck didn't have the right wiring for the trailer so we drove all the way to Rexburg with no trailer lights. Then as soon as we pulled into our parking lot the clutch stopped working. Monday Dad Hill came up to see if we could fix it and it took all day of one disappointment after another to know we needed a whole new part. Dillon was able to pick the part up and it took a half an hour to fix it on Tuesday. After power packing by myself on Monday and then with Dillon's help on Tuesday we were able to load the trailer on Tuesday night. Thanks to all the help we had loading the trailer. It took us an hour when without help it probably would have taken us 3.

Wednesday we went took the trailer to Malad for Sandor and Heidi to pick up. And we worked on the 74 charger all day. We were able to visit with family and I also got to see Coley too. It was a great day and a welcome change from the last few days.

Thursday was graduation. We also had to start and finish cleaning and finish packing. That was a stressful day but like I said before it was a great day. We checked out of our apartment that night and luckily everything passed inspection and we got our full deposit back. Mom and Dad Kotter and Bart spent the night that night.

Friday morning we got up and packed the last few things, said our goodbyes
and we headed off for Malad.

Well like normal, when moving, our laps were loaded. Just to Malad this time though. The last time we moved to Denver all we took was our little Hyundai and we were cramped. This time we under estimated how much stuff we had not packed into the trailer so Mom Hill was willing to take a couple of shots of what happens when we under estimate. Oops. Luckily the little Nissan was waiting for us when we pulled into the Willows.

Of course we left Malad late and Sandor & Heidi were way ahead of us. We said our goodbyes to all the family that was there and shed a few tears then took off. We had some serious ground to make up. We thought for sure we would catch Sandor & Heidi but they were able to pull the grades with no sweat. So about 10 hours later, a few stops and just one big melt down from Elijah
(the last stretch to Denver Cheyenne to Denver) we pulled into the city. Sandor & Heidi beat us by an hour and a half and by time we got to the apartment they basically had everything unpacked. We bought pizza for dinner that night as a thank you to the Schiess family. We owe alot to them for making that huge trip to help us out. We were excited when they decided to crash on our floor.

After a little help from Elijah we were able to get everything into it's place. Well I guess for the most part. Now all we need to do is paint the whole apartment and it will be perfect.
