Oh Boy

6-7-8-9 months...My baby is getting big!
It has been quick but such a fun ride
6 months and a half year old...
Elijah likes to sit all by himself, chew on everything still, make different noises using his hand against his mouth, push himself around on his belly, peek-a-boo and eating. The last is probably his favorite. He is a big boy. In the 98th percentile for weight and 99th for height.

cousin Marley and Elijah

7 months and big changes
Elijah has learned how to crawl!! It seriously took 2 days for him to figure it all out. He scooted forward once and the little man was off. I think he loves the independence all too much. Elijah is alot like me when I was his age. Very independent!
Also within that same week he got his first tooth. Within a 3 week span Elijah had 5 teeth and the 6th on the way. It happened all so fast. Teething wasn't too bad but we could tell when one was breaking the surface. Crankiness for a few hours and no naps...Man that was exhausting for everyone. He loves to be outside...walks and picnics are his favorite. Eating grass isn't that bad either...Luckily we catch most of it. Elijah has officially had his first small ear infection and obnoxious cough that lasted for about 4 weeks. But all is well and he is better now.

8 months and about the same...

Not much has changed for Elijah. Although he is pulling up on everything and has learned how to throw. Elijah has also taught himself how to dance. He is curious as ever and has me saying "no no Elijah" alot.

dancin just a little

9 months and almost standing by himself

So here we are. Now actually closer to 10 months but thats what happens when you procrastinate. He is quite the boy. We both say everyday that we could just spend
the whole day watching him. Elijah has something new every day that makes us smile or just right out laugh. The best part is that he knows when he is doing something funny. He will just laugh right along with us. He likes to pretend to bite us and that makes him giggle the most. Elijah has hit the stage where he knows who mom is and I am the one that he wants usually. He is doing better lately though. Dillon is the one he loves to play with but I am the one that can comfort him, feed him and put him to bed. Elijah will shake his head at us if he knows he is doing something that is off limits. Standing/walking, clapping and high five are the newest things he is trying to figure out. He gets so tickled with himself when he does it right. The standing thing is when he is feeling brave but he acts so nonchalant once he gets brave enough. Then he will burst into a huge smile and grab onto whatever is close to him( he loses concentration ).

just wondering what mom is doing
his new sippy cup with a big boy straw

in city park (the coolest park so far in Denver) feeling brave

So that is what is happening with Elijah James. He is the joy in our lives these days and the best thing that either of us have ever been a part of.

Bree you little man is sooo handsome. I would say that he is the handsomest ever, but of course I'm biased and have that honor reserved for Rhone, but he's right up there ;) Anyway glad to hear that you guys are getting settled into life in the big city. I can't wait to hear more about Denver.

He is just so dang cute Bree! I can't believe how fast he's growing up. Time just flies doesn't it?
