The day after

We had a great day Saturday the 16th!! That is April the 16th. I know, technically taxes weren't due til Monday but we celebrated the day that should have been the day after. Dillon of course had to work that morning but at 11 he met us to go to Lij's first movie in the theater(no pics sorry!). We went and saw "Rio". It was so cute...It took Lij some time to warm up to his surroundings but by the end he was loving the whole experience. Nothing like theater popcorn, a drink and treat!! After, we grabbed some lunch and then headed home to hopefully let Genesee get a little nap in. After nap time we headed to the park to fly a kite and play. Lij loved the kite so much he forgot about the playground. There was a baseball diamond right next to us so of course we went and "admired" the area and played catch a little. We also played Lij's rendition of baseball...Dillon and I are the players, Lij holds a glove while he wathces the two of us play. It was a lot of fun though.

After the park we went out to Outback Steakhouse. It was BUSY seeing as how it was Douglas HS Prom that night. So we took a buzzer and walked over to PetSmart to look at the animals. Well an hour later we finally sat down. That is when it got interesting...Lij was starving and tired(skipped his nap) and Genesee was starving and tired. We hurried as quick as we could but altogether dinner took at least 1 1/2 hours. We got home as quick as possible and put the kiddos to bed. The rest of the night we just relaxed and did NOTHING! It was great to having family time with no interruptions or feeling guilty about work.

Those are the very best days... days when you have nothing pressing to do and you can just ENJOY your family! They come few and far between so soak them up! I love the park pictures! Elijah and Genesee are getting SOOOO big!!! They are going to be best friends!! I just heard about RIO from another friend too, maybe we should go see it with the boys.
