The Blatter family reunion is what pulled us away from finals, preparing for graduation and packing, but we were more than happy to go. The family camped out at the KOA and so we followed suit. First camping experience with Elijah also. The first night we stayed in a little cabin that Mom Kotter had rented but didn't need. That was a great help. By time we got into camp it was late and dark and Elijah was already asleep. Imagine trying to set up a tent and the rest of camp all while you have a little one sleeping. Instead we were able to just go into the cabin and bed down. We all were out cold within minutes. Friday night we tented it but it really didn't go so bad. Bedtime was the hardest just because a tent doesn't hold out any sound. It took a while for him to settle in and pass out. But once he gave in, he slept through the night. Best nights sleep I have had in months!
Friday was the beach. We spent I think 6 hours there. Elijah loved it! The sand issue really wasn't that bad. He didn't really even like it on his hands so his mouth was not even an option. Elijah loved the floater but loved crawling along the shore more. He would just go back and forth and giggle the whole way. We also burried him up to his waist. He was happy and good with it until he really tried to move then he was ticked.
We had a good time. But off course you can't leave Bearlake without a souvenir. Somehow my souvenirs are always a good old sunburn. It was a good one this time.
